The World Data Provisioning components enable Carriers and ISPs to manage
all of the required steps to activate IP Services, from reservation to
service activation or de-activation.
The World Data provisioning components provide the following support:
Product Development
Aggregation of all "Service related Information" and "Associated
Resources". Includes port inventory and status.
Sales
Submission and processing of salesmen's "Service Requests".
Includes non-committed port reservations.
Contracts
Aggregation of all "Contract related information", "Service
Changes", and "Service Approvals" (for signed contracts),
which result in committed ports. The Contract Division may also use the
"Service Deactivation" component to cancel/terminate a contract,
resulting in a port release request
Network Operations Center
Scheduling and tracking of port activation by Network engineer(s) resulting
in any of the following actions: "ordering local loop and circuit"
, "processing pending orders", "conducting ping tests",
"conducting ATPs" (acceptance test procedures), and proceeding
with final activation" resulting in a live service. Network engineers
may also use the "pending release orders" component to implement
a specific deactivation schedule that performs port deactivation.
